The Truth (Poem)

You want to get to Heaven, and I want that for you,

But in order for you to get there, you have to listen to the truth.

The truth isn’t mine, it comes from above.

The truth is divine and gives us the power to love.

The truth sets you free and breaks down your chains.

The truth is the medicine you need to heal from the pain.

The truth isn’t soft and it doesn’t care about your feelings.

The truth is universal and only cares about your well-being.

Sometimes the truth is harsh and it seems unkind,

But is it worse to speak the truth or to let you remain blind?

The truth is our teacher, it shows us where we’re flawed.

The truth is our guide so we can walk the path of God.

The truth is our light, the only way out of the dark.

The truth is a fire, and it can start from a single spark.

The truth doesn’t change even when the world does.

The truth is the rock that protects the house from the floods.

The truth is unyielding, it doesn’t bend to fear.

The truth is bold, proclaimed for all to hear.

The truth is a refuge; the truth is a fortress.

The truth is the rescue that brings you out of distress.

The truth is a shield; the truth is a sword.

The truth is the ticket to your heavenly reward.

The truth came to save you, He died in your place.

The truth came to give you the gift of saving grace.

The truth is not a religion, it’s the name above all names.

Call on Jesus today and you’ll find the life, the truth, the way.

John 14:6

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
