People are weak and people are flawed.

That’s why the only one we can truly rely on is God.

You can’t blame God for the trauma you’ve been through.

It was all caused by choices made by someone else or you.

God won’t take you to dark places without giving you strength,

But the devil is always waiting, hoping he can make you break.

The Bible says that all good things come from God,

So if you blame God for choices you made, who’s really the fraud?

God presents real love which means all He can do is wait.

He won’t force you to leave the pit you chose to create.

He’s standing at the top and He’s holding out a rope,

But you’re the one who has to grab it, He’s just waiting to give you hope.

The devil stands beside you deep down in that pit,

While the rope continues to hang, but he tells you not to trust it.

When you let someone in, you always seem to get burned.

There’s no reason to try now, that’s a lesson you’ve already learned.

But what you don’t know is the devil can’t leave,

He wants to keep you stuck drowning in your misery.

He knows once you grab that rope, God will pull you out,

And when you actually meet God, you’ll have no more room for doubt.

Rely on God and He’ll give you joy in sorrow.

Rely on God and He’ll give you hope for tomorrow.

Trust in God and He’ll give you peace in chaos.

Trust in God and you’ll no longer feel lost.

Love God and you’ll never feel alone.

Love God so one day, He can finally bring you home.
