You care what people think because you see them face-to-face,

While you turn your back on God like He’s a problem to erase.

You fear what people do, they can hate you, hurt you, and cut you deep,

So you hide who you truly are to gain the love you desperately seek.

You fear the evil that’s in the world, they can take you, rape you, and make you weep,

But you have no fear of God, the one who can send your soul to the deep.

You don’t trust people so you think you can’t trust God,

But the longer you hide, the more you forget your own facade.

You create a persona, the one you choose to portray,

While the real you remains guarded and stays locked away.

If you’re not good enough for the people around you, how could God accept who you are?

But God is different than the rest of the world, He sees the you that’s locked down in the dark.

The world changes with each new generation,

But God’s been the same since the beginning of creation.

The world will never love you, they just want you to fall in line.

The devil wants you distracted until you finally run out of time.

This world and everything in it is only temporary,

But God is not the world and He will last for all eternity.

Your heart was made for God, it’s supposed to be His home.

He says if you accept Him, He’ll never leave you alone.

You were created to give God praise and worship.

He’s the god who died for you when you didn’t deserve it.

God is the one who gave the greatest gift of all.

He gave His life so you could rise no matter how many times you fall.

He gave His life so you could live and finally learn to stand tall.
