Die With The Devil

We walk through life like we have time to spare,

Wasting our time and energy on ways to hide from fear.

We fill our lives with distractions chasing purpose, money, and fame,

While we use drugs, alcohol, and sex just to drown out the pain.

We store up our treasures and refuse to let go,

While we love those who love us and shun those we don’t know.

We turned church into a place of judgement, where man determines your worth.

We stopped addressing sin, allowing the congregation to remain cursed.

We walk away from the truth and help spread the world’s lies.

We build up our own wealth and ignore the poor people’s cries.

We twist God’s word to conform to society,

And then go seek a therapist to deal with our anxiety.

God gave us the answers, neatly packaged and leather-bound.

Yet we continue to claim the truth is nowhere to be found.

God gave us His Son, the only way to salvation.

Yet we rely on ourselves to achieve our own redemption.

God is the same now as He’s always been.

He asks for us to love and only rely on Him.

But the world we live in is ever-changing and complicated.

The devil uses this, he’s deceptively sophisticated.

He’ll tell you it’s too simple, that nothing works like that.

He’ll keep you second-guessing until the day he’s got you trapped.

Life is our hourglass, and there’s only so much sand.

When time runs out, will you be saved or damned?

We have one chance to get it right, one chance to choose Him.

Will you give up your will for His and commit to full submission?

All evil will be abolished on the day of His arrival.

Will you live your life for God or die with the devil?
