You Chose This

You believed every word of a 14-year-old boy…

Because he told you lies; he made salvation his toy.

“God was once like us,” he said,

“You’re saved by works… like baptisms for the dead.”

He played the prophet, and you bought his facade.

He said, “Follow my rules, and you too can be a god.”

He took God’s word and used it to deceive.

He said, “The Celestial Kingdom is yours to achieve.”

He preached a gospel, twisted and flawed.

He practiced adultery and called it an act of God.

He blinded your eyes and chained your souls.

He called it “religion” while taking control.

You defend a false prophet who’s leading you to Hell.

But the daughter you raised… you choose to expel.

When she chose truth, you chose strife.

When you chose death, she chose Jesus… the way, the truth, the life.

When you couldn’t swallow the truth, you shut her out.

So God took her in, casting away all shame and doubt.

I wanted you to love me… That was my only wish.

But you threw me away… You chose this.
