Pain is the Path to Peace

We all walk this path. We all experience the pain. But not everyone makes it to that place of peace.

“Pain” comes in many different forms and gets delivered in many different ways.

Maybe you were the kid who never fit in…

Maybe you were abandoned by your parents…

Maybe you were rejected by a lover…

Betrayed by a friend…

Lied to…

Lied about…

Alienated…

Taken advantage of…

Bullied…

Raped…

Neglected…

Manipulated…

Abused…

If you experience enough pain, it can then be used against you.

Depression…

Anxiety…

Bi-polar…

OCD…

Self-loathing…

Shame…

Doubt…

Guilt…

Blame…

This is your custom-built prison, brought to you by the Devil.

Many don’t make it to peace, because the only way out of that prison… is to recognize your own need for Jesus in your life. He holds the keys and He’s waiting to give you new life.

Revelation 1:17-18

“When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, ‘Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.’”

John 11:25-26

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?’”

1 John 5:11-12

“And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Matthew 24:12-13

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

James 1:2-3

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

When you stand up for and do what’s right, you will experience pain.

Maybe from family, maybe from friends, peers, loved ones, colleagues… maybe all of the above.

The Devil knows God’s plan for you and his entire job is keeping you from it before he runs out of time.

The beauty of choosing God is God will never leave you or let you down. When the world rejects you, God accepts you with open arms.

The blood of Christ is the only blood that matters.

Through His blood, His saints have an eternal family.

Through His blood, our past is erased.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.”

Matthew 12:50

“For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

Romans 8:35-39

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Psalm 27:10

“For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.”

John 15:18-19

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Luke 21:13-19

“This will be your opportunity to bear witness. Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict. You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. You will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But not a hair of your head will perish. By your endurance you will gain your lives.”

1 John 5:18-20

“We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.”

We experience pain while we search for love, hope, truth, peace, acceptance…

Jesus is the answer for all of these.

John 14:6

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

The path of pain ends with Jesus.
