Let me start off by saying, I don’t mean mental illness isn’t real. Mental illness is very real and causes very real problems for millions of people.
…
But all these pills and shots and fancy treatments… are a scam. They are a trap. They will never cure you; and you will always need money in order to get them.
…
Treating mental illness with anything that is not Jesus…is a scam.
…
If it’s prescribed by mankind:
You will always need a refill.
You will always end up needing a new medication because the old one stopped working.
You will need an additional medication if you won’t give up the old one in order to continue to address your symptoms.
When the medication or the money runs out, you will still be looking for a cure, stuck in your own personal hell until you die.
…
There is only one cure. One person who can get you out of that hell and truly heal you.
Revelation 1:17-18
“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
His name is Jesus.
John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
…
You don’t need a pill to be happy.
You don’t need that special treatment to fix you.
You don’t need a shot to stay sane.
And you don’t have to wait til you die to find rest and peace.
…
You need Jesus.
…
He is the only one who can get you out of Hell. He is the only one who can heal your pain. He is the only one who can align your mind, body, and soul.
…
Yes, I am speaking from both scripture and experience. Let me give you my credentials before you say, “You don’t know because you don’t deal with it.”
I have dealt, and do deal, with PTSD with depression and anxiety symptoms. From the beginning of seeking treatment, I chose to forego any medication. I’ve seen the results of medication throughout my whole life. At best, medication is a temporary solution. If I was going to face my issues, I was going to face them for a permanent solution, so medication could not be part of it. I took the other recommendation and started therapy. But without the need for medication, all therapy does is give you the all-encompassing scientific information about your issues and what “normal” looks like. So, therapy really didn’t help either.
…
But somewhere in all the chaos, Jesus found me, and I chose Him. I finally experienced a true sense of peace. No, it didn’t last forever, but it happened. I now knew it existed; and knew what it felt like. I needed more of it, so I decided to get to know Jesus. If He was the one who was going to give me that kind of peace, then I wanted to know how to get it. And not just get it, but keep it.
…
I can’t tell you the ins and outs of how, but I can tell you that the closer I get to Jesus, the more changes I choose to make in my life to follow Jesus, the more I’m healed from the inside-out.
…
No, I’m not completely healed. But I trust Him to get me there.
…
Jesus is the permanent solution, because He will never go away. He has no end.
Revelation 22:13-14
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
…
If you say you believe but you still trust in the system… let me leave you one last thing to consider.
…
You say you believe, but you trust the system to give you what you need – that pill, that treatment, that shot, that drug – because you trust the fact that if you have money, you can buy what you need.
…
You say you believe, but your faith is in your finances.
…
You say you believe in God, so what will you do when you can’t use your finances?
Will you choose your faith in God? Or your fear of living without?
…
Revelation 13:16-17
“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
…
One day, you will have to choose: your medication or your Messiah.
Your medication will trap and numb you…
Your Messiah will free and heal you…
…
You are the only one who can make the choice.
