Christmas
What makes Christmas of the world and not of God?
Well, many of the traditions used to celebrate Christmas are of pagan origin. There’s a few pagan festivals the same time as Christmas. In fact, if you look into the history of Christmas, you’ll find that the church, in the early days, selected December 25th as the day to celebrate Christmas in order for Christians to have a celebration separate from the pagan festivals.
Is it really separate if you use all the same traditions as the pagans? I.e. giving gifts, decorating trees, and getting together to eat… all traditions which came from the pagan festivals celebrated at the same time as Christmas. Suspicious, but maybe not enough. If you keep researching, you will also find that the figure of Santa Clause is based, not only on St. Nicholas, but also on the pagan god Odin: a bearded old man who gave gifts.
…
Christmas was a tool developed by the Devil through the church to deceive Christians into disobeying God.
Jeremiah 10:1-5
“Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.”
Deuteronomy 12:29-32
“When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.”
Colossians 2:8
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
Matthew 15:3-9
“But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
Stop allowing yourselves to be deceived.
You cannot walk with God and walk with the Devil at the same time.
God or the world, can’t go both ways.
