The Devil’s Knocking

If you knew every single bad thought, bad feeling, and bad behavior came from the Devil…would you let it happen? Would you keep answering the door?

What if I told you they all are from the Devil? Even if you’re not well-versed in the Bible, just think about it. One bad feeling leads to one bad thought which leads to one bad behavior which triggers one bad feeling in someone else. Then it’s up to that person to continue or stop the domino effect.

But what if each and every one of these bad moments…is actually a choice? A choice of who you follow. Are you following God or Satan? God is good. Satan is evil. And yes, it is that simple.

When you choose not to fight against those bad feelings, you allow the bad thoughts. If you don’t contend with the bad thoughts, you enact bad behaviors.

The path to destruction is broad for a reason. It’s a “pit” of misery for a reason.

It is so…so easy to fall into that pit, to lose track of the narrow path.

Every time you face bad is an opportunity to show your faith in the good.

Let me define “bad” real quick:

Anger

Hatred

Pettiness

Pride

Selfishness

Greed

Vanity

Adultery

Idolatry

Rejection

Deception

Manipulation

I could keep going but I think you get the point.

Every single person born on this earth is born a sinner. Which means “bad” is inevitable. You’ll probably face one form of “bad” or another at least once every single day of your life.

But what if you made it through all those bad days and then you got to spend eternity in love, joy, and peace?

On the flip side of that, what if you chose you in all those moments? What if you chose to follow Satan? Sure, your life here may be full, it may be convenient…but in the end you’ll spend eternity in damnation and torment…

Until we return to our King, the Devil will always be knocking…

It’s your choice if you let him in.

Just know letting him in…means shutting you out of the true kingdom.

In the end, the choice is yours. Will you choose God? Will you choose good? Or will you choose the evil, the Devil?
