I am the most guilty of tonight’s topic; this is a “I need to take my own advice” type of post.

Wives, stop fighting your husbands.

If you trust God, trust your husband. He knows better than you do. If you trust God, trust that He built you for each other. Here’s the hard part ladies: you’re not supposed to run anything. No matter how intelligent you think you are, how logical you think you are, how strong you think you are, how this that or the other you think you are…you were built as your husband’s help. Not the other way around. You were built as his help. Stop fighting it. You’re not the head of the household. He is. You don’t make the rules. He does. That’s how God built it. Why? Because we, as women, are easily deceived. Your husband is meant to protect you from that. Let him. Follow God’s plan and you’ll find everlasting peace and joy. Stop listening to anything the world has said is “right” and start listening to what God says is right.

Romans 16:17-18

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

1 Corinthians 11:3

“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.”

2 Corinthians 11:3

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”

Colossians 3:18

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.”

1 Timothy 2:9-15

“In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.”
