You know all those thoughts that run around in your head? The ones that stem from whatever idea that’s been planted about who you’re “supposed to be” or what you’re “supposed to do” as that person. For me, those voices are about who or what I’m supposed to be as a wife and mother. For me, those voices tell me I’m not doing enough by being a stay-at-home-mom. I’m supposed to have a career like the men, right? I’m supposed to also do everything the man is supposed to do, right? Men are stupid and somehow less than women, right?
Stop listening to all the voices the world has told you to be. They’re wrong. We’ve been taught to rely on ourselves. To trust ourselves. Look at everything mankind has accomplished or is looking to accomplish: “self-driving” cars, neurolink, doorstep delivery for pretty much anything you can think of… We’ve made life easy, right?
…
Wrong. All these things are doing, is taking glory away from God, where it belongs. Stop listening to the world and start listening to God. Stop trusting the things of the world and start trusting God.
Do you need purpose? Do you need love? Do you need acceptance? Do you need strength? Do you need peace? Do you need joy? Do you need hope?
Ask God. He’s just waiting for you to turn to Him. Look for Him, you’ll see Him. Listen for Him, you’ll hear Him. Trust Him, you’ll never feel lost again.
Psalm 115:1-9
“Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake. Wherefore should the heathen then say, Where is now their God? But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them. O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.”
